April O'Neil originally met the Turtles when they saved her life a long time ago when she was being attacked by a gang
of thugs. Since then she has remained the Turtles' most loyal friend. She has held a number of jobs throughout her career.
When the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first appeared on television, she was working for Channel 6 News, and in both the new
cartoon and Mirage comic books continuity she has worked as an assistant for a scientist, Baxter Stockman, and then worked
in her father's antique store until the Foot Clan destroyed it in Season 1 Episode 18 of the new cartoon or Vol. 1 #10 of
the Mirage comic books. Since she was rescued by the turtles she has promised to help them find the source of the Mutagen
that changed the Turtles' lives forever. Throughout the series, April has had feelings for Casey, will they get together?
(In both cartoons and the Archie comics, this is the big question. In the Mirage comic books, April and Casey move in together
in Vol. 2 and are wishing to have a baby in Vol. 4, though due to the 10-15 year gap of "time" between the two volumes,
their marriage, though likely, is uncertain.)
